Focused Linkblogging
- Happy One Year Blogoversary to Guy LeCharles Gonzalez. How he manages both an excellent blog and his cool revamp of Buzzscope is a mystery to me.
- I certainly don't intend this to be a daily Brill Building update. Things need mentioning, though. Like Ian's interview with Graeme McMillan of the late, lamented Fanboy Rampage. It's a huge interview that ends up getting into some interesting issues about the WeboComicsBlogoNet and online communities as a whole. A lot of what Graeme talks about when discussing FBR rings true to my experiences running the forums at Operation Sports, and it was wonderful to hear two really smart guys talk bout it.
- 50 Cent enters the comics scene. With appropriate marketing, this could easily be bigger than Stephen King. Very easily. I'm not a fan of 50 Cent, and doubt I'll read the books if they are the same glorification of the thug life that runs through his music ... but this could really be something to watch, in terms of opening new doors for comics.
- I don't really "get" MySpace. Somehow I missed that boat. It sure seems popular, though, and now it's being put to good use to promote Elk's Run. Promoting Elk's Run is a good thing. Expect some Elk's Run promotion here soon.

Hay, I don't mind if you want to be a BB update page. With finals coming up you probably won't have that much work to do soon.
